Dr. Jay Patel, DO is a fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon. He specializes in foot and ankle surgery. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Life Science and minor in Economics. He attended medical school at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Patel completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. He then completed his Foot & Ankle fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
During fellowship, Dr. Patel obtained extensive experience in treating a wide variety of conditions including ankle arthritis, foot and ankle trauma, sports related injuries, and chronic deformities of the foot and ankle. His interests include lower extremity reconstruction, ankle replacements, fractures, and athletic injuries.
Dr. Patel is a member of several professional and scientific societies including the Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Outside of work, Dr. Patel enjoys hiking, traveling, spending time with family, and trying new restaurants and different cuisines.
