Dr. K. Holly Gallivan graduated from Dartmouth College, later earning her medical and public health degrees from Tufts University. She completed a general surgical internship and residency in otolaryngology / head and neck surgery at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. She is an Assistant Professor at Tufts University School of Medicine and a Part Time Instructor at Harvard University School of Medicine. She has practiced at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary since 2000 and at Winchester Hospital since 2001. She is Board Certified in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. She served for 10 years on the Executive Committee at Mass. Eye and Ear Infirmary and has been Chief of Otolaryngology/ Head and Neck Surgery at Winchester Hospital since 2004. Dr. Gallivan is especially interested in pediatrics and hearing loss, as well as sinus, voice, and swallowing disorders. She also provides specialty care for patients at HealthSouth/New England Rehabilitation Hospital in Woburn and in the Hallmark Health System.
Dr. Gallivan has been recognized for notable teaching in surgery by Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Gallivan’s honors include being named a “Best Doctor” by the New York Times Magazine, Who’s Who, and SuperDoctors, and a “Top Physician” by the Consumer’s Research Council of America, and Angie’s List. She was also voted “Best of Winchester” by FAN, the Family Action Network of Winchester.
In her free time, she enjoys her family, traveling, outdoor sports, and cheering on the Sox and Patriots.
